Vrchlabí

Prague
Brno

Our local plant has more than 100 years of tradition–bodies for ŠKODA cars have been produced here since the 1920s and the first model assembled here was the famous Tudor. The Vrchlabí plant also boasts the prestigious Factory of the Year award. Vrchlabí has excellent transport links, there are a number of shops and good quality restaurants, and entertainment is also guaranteed.

Hooray for Rübezahl

Vrchlabí is not known as the gateway to the Giant Mountains for nothing. You can reach the epicentre of skiing and winter fun, Pec pod Snezkou, by car in 45 minutes. And you can get to the neighbouring Špindlerův mlýn in 20 minutes.

Go to Trutnov’s “Woodstock"

The nearest important town in the vicinity of Vrchlabí is Trutnov, which is only a half an hour away. As you enter, a picturesque district town opens up in front of you, offering a variety of architectural, cultural and natural charms. You can even go to the local “Woodstock", i.e., the famous music festival that Václav Havel among others liked to visit here in Trutnov.

For shopping to Poland

If you are a fan of bargain hunting, then know that the border crossing with Poland is less than half an hour’s drive from here.
