Meeting Michael Oeljeklaus, member of the Board for Production and Logistics

After thorough preparations, a "D day" has come. Exactly at 9:30 a black Superb, eagerly awaited, is pulling up on white cobbles.

The third Wednesday in March 2017, we, members of the trainee group, got a unique opportunity to meet the member of the Board for Production and Logistics, Michael Oeljeklaus at innovation breakfast in ŠKODA Museum.

After a brief welcome and a joint photo full of smiles our team and its new member move to the Hieronimus hall.

To start we introduce the Trainee Programme. At first we present general information and the way we are represented in different departments. The second round is about the feedback on past rotations. Then our guest himself presents ŠKODA AUTO. The presentation is literally packed with technical information from all over the world.

Having learnt more about each other, we continue talking while dishes occasionally clink. We get to know details from professional and personal life. Although in Germany, our guest started his career as a trainee too. He remembers well his beginnings in the automotive industry and passes on us a lot advice and motivation to build our own successful career. Yet, he reminds us how important it is to learn to wind down and relax every evening.

Due to a never ending flood of curious questions, Mr. Oeljeklaus decides to reorganize a few meetings to spend more time than expected with us. Therefore we can learn about his opinions on aluminium sheet pressing, electromobility, downsizing, or titles of his favourite books, or his liking in flying and airplane renovation.

Our time is up, though, and we have to say good bye and thanks a lot. The meeting has brought a lot of positive ideas, but mainly a high dose of motivation for further work. Thank you for your visit. We might have not met for the last time.

Are you attracted by international environment and experience from various departments? Do not hesitate and apply for our Trainee programme.
