Collaborate on your dissertation with professionals

Our PhD program is unique within the Czech Republic. For selected doctoral students, it represents unique opportunity to work on their doctoral thesis in cooperation with ŠKODA AUTO professionals.

What does a PhD program look like?

  • Our PhD program is a multi-year development and mentoring program for doctoral students at university (up to 4 years).
  • Topics for dissertations are primarily put forward by ŠKODA AUTO, however, it is possible to discuss a theme proposed by the student.
  • The time requirements of the program can be adjusted to a student’s personal circumstances, and should not exceed 20 hours a week.
  • A cooperation contract (Casual Work Contract) will be drawn up with qualifying students.
  • The PhD program is a form of paid cooperation (250 CZK/hr).

Admission procedure

The admissions process has several stages. First, you will present and discuss the topic of your dissertation with your lecturer at your university and with a ŠKODA AUTO representative. A successful interview is followed by participation in the Assessment Centre, and if that is successful, a casual work contract awaits you. If you are not selected in the Assessment Centre, you may also supplement your dissertation with ŠKODA AUTO in the form of an internship.
