He started right after school as a trainee, now he leads a team of fifty people who deal with the electronics of all ŠKODA models in the Czech Republic and abroad. As Tomáš Dlabaja says, the automotive industry is now going through a brutal revolution. But if you google his name, you will find more than just his career profile.
Sitting at a computer and not getting away from the screen? That is definitely not the case for IT manager Tomáš Soukup. He has worked for car manufacturers around the world and many of his codes and systems have reflected his experience with other cultures. Currently, he is working for ŠKODA AUTO on an international project in India. What is this experience giving him?
One programme, dozens of young talents from all over the world. The locals, however, take advantage of the Trainee Programme too. We interviewed two current trainees who come from the vicinity of Mladá Boleslav – Michala Mizerová and Honza Pekař. Both started their journey at ŠKODA AUTO as interns and have been gaining experience as trainees since 2020. How do they see the Trainee Programme?
All the regular activities that make the Trainee Programme so special have been cancelled or, in better cases, moved online due to coronavirus. Unfortunately, the same also applies to volunteering. However, at the end of December 2020, we got the opportunity to help at the animal shelter Dogsy and spend some time working in the fresh air. Without hesitation, we quickly put together a group of volunteers and headed to Jestřebí, a village near Doksy.
Meet Aida Merušić – one of the current Trainees at ŠKODA AUTO’s Trainee Programme. Aida comes from Fojnica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Financial Management at School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo. The following interview discusses Aida’s Trainee Programme experience so far.
Trainees in Mladá Boleslav are definitely not bored. The Networking team takes care of trainees’ wellbeing, among which, has the exclusive task of connecting new and former members of the Trainee program, thus creating a common Trainee community. The second year of the Trainee Reunion took place on August 27, 2020, which was held again in the spirit of a Sport Day!
