AI Project & Performance Specialist (m/f)

ID 2001391878 Mladá Boleslav

What will you do with us?

In this role, you will be both an analyst and a project manager. Your task will be to use data to prove that investments in AI in Procurement deliver real value, while also helping projects reach successful completion.

Performance measurement, KPIs and reporting (Performance Management)

  • Set measurement rules: You will design and maintain a system for tracking the success of AI projects – measuring their ROI, adoption metrics and other key KPIs.
  • Create dashboards and reports: You will prepare reports, visual dashboards and presentations for Škoda Auto management and VWG Group Procurement, clearly demonstrating the value that the Procurement team delivers through AI.

Operational management of selected AI projects (Project Management)

  • Manage projects in practice: You will be responsible for the operational management of specific AI projects – coordinating stakeholders, monitoring deadlines and milestones, and addressing deviations from the plan.
  • Collaborate with IT and brands: You will work with IT suppliers and representatives of the Group brands to ensure timely delivery and user approval of solutions.

Portfolio analysis and corrective actions

  • Identify weak points: You will analyze performance trends across the AI project portfolio and, in the event of delayed progress or low adoption, propose specific corrective measures.

Funding and travel support

  • Prepare data-based materials: You will support the team coordinator in budget negotiations and cost-sharing models between brands using clear, data-driven arguments.
  • Travel to teams: You will regularly visit VWG brands to manage projects on site and present achieved results to local management.

What knowledge, experience and skills do you need?

This role requires a combination of the precision of a data analyst (someone who loves numbers, charts and metrics) and the organizational skills of a project manager (someone who can drive things to completion and coordinate people).

Professional knowledge (What you need to know)

  • Performance measurement methodologies (KPIs & ROI): You need to know how to define and measure project success – both financial metrics (ROI, cost savings) and non-financial metrics (adoption rate, time savings, error rate).
  • Project management: Knowledge of both traditional (Waterfall) and agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies. You need to understand milestone planning, risk management and software acceptance management.
  • Basics of corporate project financing: Awareness of budgets, cost allocation and cost-sharing models between Group brands.
  • Overview of AI and IT delivery: You need to have a basic overview of the development and deployment of IT/AI solutions so that you can communicate effectively with IT developers and suppliers.

Practical skills (What you need to be able to do)

  • Data visualization and reporting: Ability to transform raw data from various projects into clear, visually appealing reports and dashboards that allow management to immediately understand the status of things.
  • Operational coordination and strong drive for results: Ability to manage people without direct reporting authority – organizing meetings, monitoring deadlines and requiring the fulfillment of commitments from IT suppliers and brand representatives.
  • Data-driven argumentation: Ability to defend your conclusions and recommendations in front of management and support claims about a delayed project or the need for additional funding with specific figures.
  • Presentation skills for top management: Ability to communicate to the point and present results briefly and clearly to directors and members of the Škoda Auto and VWG Boards of Management.

Languages and IT tools

  • English at C1 level (active): You will communicate, write reports and present in the international VWG environment on a daily basis.
  • German (a major advantage): It will significantly help you when dealing with German colleagues from the Group and VW Global IT.

Data analysis and visualization tools:

  • Power BI (or Tableau/Qlik) at an advanced level for dashboard creation.
  • MS Excel at expert level (pivot tables, advanced functions, data analysis).

Project management and presentation tools:

  • MS PowerPoint at a high level (creating professional presentations for management).
  • Jira and Confluence for task tracking and project documentation.

Personal qualities

  • Structured and analytical thinking: Ability to identify trends and connections in numbers and detect in time when a project is heading towards a problem.
  • Communication skills and assertiveness: You will negotiate with IT suppliers, push for deadlines and diplomatically present results, including unpopular ones, to management.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel: Regular travel to international Group brands for project management and in-person presentation of results to local management.
